Articles Published on Volcano Activity Monitoring Using Remotely Operated Drones (Associate Professor Akihiko Terada)
Articles have been published on a system that uses remotely operated drones to monitor Mt. Kusatsu-Shirane, where volcanic activity has been increasing. Associate Professor Akihiko Terada has been conducting pilot operations in which drones are controlled remotely from the Institute of Science Tokyo campus to observe conditions such as those at the crater lake.
The result of research was published in the July 21 issue of Bulletin of Volcanology.
